GrabPay vs DuitNow vs TnG: Best eWallet for Slot Gaming Malaysia
For a slot session at Pirate777, DuitNow QR is the fastest and cheapest way in: it credits in 30–60 seconds, takes deposits from RM10 up to RM30,000, and needs no wallet balance. Touch ‘n Go eWallet and GrabPay both work well if you already keep money in the app (RM30 to RM5,000 per deposit, 1–4 minutes to credit). Those figures are our own records from February 2025 to January 2026 and the cashier bands read on 8 September 2026, not a ranking of the apps themselves. Whichever route funds the deposit, winnings leave by DuitNow bank transfer — 2.3 minutes on average across all seven days — because e-wallet withdrawals have been temporarily unavailable since 26 August 2026. This guide sets the three side by side on the numbers, then says which suits which player.

What decides which route you should fund a slot session with?
Three things, and none of them is a badge on the app: how fast the deposit credits (a session that stalls while a top-up clears is the usual complaint), the band you can deposit in (the cashier hides a route outside its minimum and maximum), and what the route costs. Pirate777 charges no fee on deposits or withdrawals; your wallet or bank may apply its own.
Every route lands in the same single wallet, so the money is spendable across all 17 studios on our lobby (read 8 September 2026; 2,500+ titles) without transfers between games, and every page including the cashier runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection with 256-bit SSL. The cashier takes DuitNow QR (Boost and Maybank QR Pay through the same QR window), Touch ‘n Go eWallet, GrabPay, ShopeePay, FPX online banking and telco reload PINs; the deposit guide shows each screen, and the e-wallet comparison guide covers ShopeePay and the reload PINs in the same detail as the three routes here.
How do DuitNow QR, Touch ‘n Go and GrabPay compare on the numbers?
Bands are the cashier read of 8 September 2026; crediting times and success rates are our own operational records, February 2025 to January 2026, measured the way the e-wallet speed test describes.
| Route | Deposit band | Credits in (our records) | Fee from Pirate777 | Withdrawal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DuitNow QR | RM10 – RM30,000 per deposit | 30–60 seconds (99.2% success) | None | Deposit only; winnings return by DuitNow bank transfer |
| Touch ‘n Go eWallet | RM30 – RM5,000 | 1–3 minutes (98.8%) | None | Temporarily unavailable since 26 August 2026 |
| GrabPay | RM30 – RM5,000 | 2–4 minutes (97.5%) | None | Temporarily unavailable since 26 August 2026 |
| DuitNow bank transfer | Manual transfer — see the deposit guide | On receipt | None | All withdrawals: RM50 – RM100,000 per transaction, 2.3-minute average |
Withdrawal limits per day depend on rank: RM10,000 and three withdrawals at the entry rank, rising with rank (rank ladder read 20 August 2026). A wallet app’s own daily limits sit on top of ours.
DuitNow QR: the fastest credit, the lowest minimum, the highest cap
You scan the QR the cashier shows with your banking app (or Boost or Maybank QR Pay), approve it there, and the deposit credits in 30 to 60 seconds in our records. Because it draws straight from your bank account there is no balance to top up first, the minimum is RM10 and a single deposit can go to RM30,000. DuitNow is the national rail run by PayNet, which is why we also use it for every payout.
Suits: anyone starting from RM10, anyone depositing above RM5,000, and anyone who does not keep money in a wallet app.
Touch ‘n Go eWallet: quickest of the wallets if you already hold a balance
Pick Touch ‘n Go in the cashier, authorise the payment in the TNG app with its own PIN or biometric lock, and the deposit credits in 1 to 3 minutes. The band is RM30 to RM5,000 per deposit. It is the wallet most Malaysian players already carry, so the top-up habit is often the reason to choose it; a TNG reload PIN is a different route (a telco-style PIN with the 5% bonus) and is covered in the deposit guide.
Suits: players who keep a TNG balance for daily spending and want the deposit to come from it rather than from the bank.
GrabPay: the same band, a little slower, convenient for Grab users
Choose GrabPay, approve in the Grab app, and the deposit credits in 2 to 4 minutes on the same RM30 to RM5,000 band. Nothing about it is worse for slots than TNG except the minute or two of crediting time; if Grab is where your money already sits, it is the natural choice. The GrabPay integration guide walks through the app side step by step.
Suits: regular Grab users who top up the wallet anyway and deposit in the RM30 to RM5,000 range.

How fast are withdrawals, and do they go back to the wallet?
They do not go back to the wallet at the moment. Since 26 August 2026 e-wallet withdrawals have been temporarily unavailable, and every withdrawal is paid by DuitNow bank transfer to a bank account registered in your own name; we will say on this page when the wallets reopen. A withdrawal is approved and then sent, and no route is instant: across all seven days of the week the average from approval to the money reaching the bank is 2.3 minutes in our own records from February 2025 to January 2026, published as that measurement and not as a guarantee.
- Per withdrawal: RM50 minimum, RM100,000 maximum, no fee from Pirate777.
- Per day: RM10,000 and three withdrawals at the entry rank, rising with rank to RM300,000 and eight at the top rank — the withdrawal guide lists every rank.
- The first withdrawal: an identity check with your NRIC or passport, done by Captain’s Support during that withdrawal, with the account name matched to the bank account name; a re-check applies above RM5,000 in one withdrawal or RM20,000 in 30 days.
- Before any withdrawal: a deposit must be wagered once (winnings need no extra turnover).
If a payout has not arrived, the DuitNow withdrawal troubleshooting guide lists the causes we have seen in order of likelihood; 24/7 Captain’s Support on WhatsApp, Telegram (https://t.me/Pirate777MY) or Live Chat can see the withdrawal’s status.
Which route suits which player?
- New player: DuitNow QR. RM10 is enough to start, it credits in under a minute, and the first-deposit offer (deposit RM30, get RM30 plus 30 XP, applied in the cashier; Mega888 games excluded) works with it — the rules are in our Bonus Terms.
- Regular player who keeps a wallet balance: Touch ‘n Go eWallet, 1–3 minutes, RM30 to RM5,000. GrabPay does the same job a minute or two slower if Grab is your wallet.
- Larger deposits: DuitNow QR is the only one of the three that goes above RM5,000, up to RM30,000 in one deposit.
- No bank account, or privacy first: a telco reload PIN (U Mobile, Celcom, Digi, Hotlink), RM10 to RM5,000, credited by support on approval with a 5% bonus and no turnover requirement.
- Playing with friends: the route makes no difference. Team Play — the way you invite friends and play together — pays your milestone rewards and Friends Rolling to your own balance, and they withdraw like any other winnings; the Team Play guide has the figures.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Trying to deposit RM10 by wallet: the cashier will not show Touch ‘n Go or GrabPay below RM30. Use DuitNow QR or FPX for RM10.
- Expecting the payout back in the wallet: it arrives by DuitNow bank transfer, so register the bank account in your own name before the first withdrawal.
- Splitting one large deposit into wallet-sized pieces: DuitNow QR takes up to RM30,000 in one go.
- Paying a “top-up agent” in a chat group: the only cashier is the one on the site, and Captain’s Support never asks you to pay a person.

Conclusion: which one should you pick?
On our own numbers, DuitNow QR wins on speed, minimum and cap, and it is also the rail your winnings come back on. Touch ‘n Go eWallet and GrabPay are the right choice when the money already sits in the app and the deposit is between RM30 and RM5,000; between the two, TNG credits a minute or so faster. None of the three costs anything from our side, all three land in one wallet spendable across 17 studios, and fairness does not change with the route: each game runs exactly as its studio built it, with the studio’s public record listed in our Fair Play Policy and every game’s RTP printed on its lobby tile.
Whatever you choose, set a budget first and keep to it; responsible gambling guidance from BeGambleAware is free and confidential, and our support team can set deposit or loss limits on your account on request.
